Pickled Red Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1-2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp peppercorns

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, heat vinegar, water, sugar, and salt until just boiling.
  2. In a glass container that has a lid, add sliced red onion, vinegar mixture, and peppercorns. Allow to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Then, add the lid and store in the fridge.
  3. Add on top of your favorite dishes.
