Fresh Guacamole

Fresh Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 cup red onion, chopped
  • 3 roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mash with a potato masher or a couple of forks. Serve immediately or refrigerate in a covered container for up to 3 days.

Notes

Notes:

  • A ripe avocado should have some give when pressed. If it is very soft, it may be rotten. If it is hard, leave it on the counter to finish ripening. Once it reaches peak ripeness, use it up or put in the refrigerator to stop the ripening process.
  • Like a little more kick? Add diced jalapenos or your favorite spicy pepper.
